The "Pride of the Tribe" Marching Band has been a fixture in the Natchitoches Community for decades. On Friday nights in the Fall, the marching band can be seen at NCHS Football games, LMEA Marching Competitions, and the Festival of Lights Parade. In the Spring, the marching band will perform at local Mardi Gras Parades and select NCHS Boys and Girls Basketball Games.

The NCHS Symphonic Band performs in the traditional concert stage setting. The Spring Semester, the NCHS Concert Band performs at the Natchitoches Parish Concert Band Festival, LMEA District II Festival, a Spring Concert, and travels to a regional concert band festival.

The Natchitoches Central Flagline is the auxilary unit of the "Pride of the Tribe" Marching Band. The Tribal Fire Flagline performs at all events as the "Pride of the Tribe" Marching Band. In the Spring Semester, the Tribal Fire Flagline performs as the NCHS Winterguard. The NC Winterguard performs in the Louisiana-Mississippi Colorguard and Percussion Circuit

United Sound is an initiative to see the inclusion of special needs individuals into the music education world. At Natchitoches Central, we are the only active United Sound chapter in the state of Louisiana. United Sound sees students take the lead in working music with their peers and providing a memorable, educational, and enjoyable experience to all involved. The United Sound NC Chapter performed their first concert in May 2023 at the Natchitoches Central Band Department Spring Concert.
The NC United Sound Chapter is largely a student run organization, but is under the supervision of Mr. Thurber, Ms. Toney, and the NCHS "DES" departmental staff
The "Sound of the Chiefs" pep band made its debut in January 2024. This ensemble performs at all home varsity boys and girls Chiefs basketball games. The ensemble name was determined in a naming contest where students submitted names, and then voted on submissions.

The Natchitoches Community Jazz Band is an all new ensemble making its debut in the Fall 2025 semester. This ensemble performs a mix of jazz standards, new jazz rep, pop tunes, and movie tunes. The jazz band is open to members of the Natchitoches community who have musical experience and want to share the gift of music with their community!
