The "Pride of the Tribe" Marching Band has been a fixture in the Natchitoches Community for decades. On Friday nights in the Fall, the marching band can be seen at NCHS Football games, Marching Competitions, and the Festival of Lights Parade. In the Spring, the marching band will perform at local Mardi Gras parades.
The Pride of the Tribe is under the Direction of Cody Thurber, Emmaleigh Toney, and Ryne Bates.
The NCHS Symphonic Band performs in the traditional concert stage setting, and is active in both the fall and spring semesters. In the fall semester, the ensemble performs at the NCHS Veterans' Day Program, NCHS Christmas Program, and NCHS Band Christmas Concert. In the spring semester, the ensemble performs at the NCHS Black History Month Program, Magnolia Concert Band Festival, LMEA District II Festival, NCHS Band Spring Concert, and NCHS Graduation (in even numbered years).

The Natchitoches Central Flagline is the auxilary unit of the "Pride of the Tribe" Marching Band. The Tribal Fire Flagline performs at all events as the "Pride of the Tribe" Marching Band. In the Spring Semester, the Tribal Fire Flagline performs as the NCHS Winterguard. The NCHS Winterguard performs in the Magnolia Performing Arts Association. In 2025, the team set a school record for overall score and placement in classification, which was again broken in 2026.
The NCHS gurard program is under the direction of Ryne Bates, who is entering his third season with the team.

"Together in Music" is an initiative to see the inclusion of special needs individuals into the music education world. This ensemble performs multiple concerts at NCHS throughout the academic year and mixes music activities with the development of social and fine motor skills. What initially started with four students has expanded to 12!
"Together in Music" was created in collaboration from Mr. Thurber and NCHS SPED teachers Jessica Donaho, and Angela Ryder.
The NCHS Basketball Band began playing at home and championship boys' and girls' games in Spring 2023 and helps NCHS to have the best home court advantage in high school athletics!

The Natchitoches Community Jazz Band made its debut in Fall 2025. This ensemble performs a mix of jazz standards and new jazz rep. The jazz band is open to members of the Natchitoches community who have musical experience and want to share the gift of music with their community!
